About me

I am Sha’ri bin Mohd Yusof. I have been in the education field since 1990 after leaving the automotive industry with post degree experience as an engineer. In short, I started as a technocrat and moved to the academic world. My aim is to share as much as possible about QUALITY in all aspects of our life. Quality comes from the classroom and must be translated and transferred to everything in our life so that it touches on everyone until it becomes a way of life. Quality as a way of life is the vision.

Just to remind ourselves that we must not wait for perfection before we do things. We must always be mindful of many facets of work and life. Just do it… Nike’s slogan. So, don’t look for perfection in this website. Look for my Quality philosophy. Look at Kaizen and learn it from me. Look at the Opportunities for Improvements (OFIs) in our life that is our society, company, and our self. Search for Excellence and look for value and functions.

Quality of water, quality of electric supply, quality of communications and internet services, quality of food, and quality of all products and services will always be affected by customers everyday throughout our life. Has the quality deteriorated ? Why are defects produced by producers? Why are customers complacent to the poor services of water quality in some localities in this country? We are just paying for the inefficiencies that exist in all organizations whether profit or not-for-profit organizations.

What I intend to do in this blog.

• I want to share my knowledge and help others achieve their career and academic goals in teaching, learning and to do research in related fields
• I will be sharing topics on Quality Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Lean, Operations Management and relevant current issues
• I wish to connect to as many people who share the same dream of creating a Quality world and excellent organizations
• At end of the day, I hope to get as many people as possible to learn and to share with me in our journey towards excellence…

I have blogged before and stopped, and then using university website. I feel that since I am partly retired. I work on contract basis without any permanent website, I thought I better build my own website and slowly distance myself from the institutional site that will be eventually lose my affiliation and remove me. For record purposes, I started this blog on 22 October 2020 in the midst of lockdown PKPB in Selangor and KL and in the Year of COVID 2020.
